Freedom Writers
When most of us think of the schools we went to and how the classrooms were, they are not like how it was in room 203. Most inner-city schools have teachers that do not care and do not have the passion that Erin Gruwell did. When you think about the teaching ethic, it was about how the students in her classroom could learn, and how they could better themselves for the future. She took a chance on them because no other teacher did. I want to become an educator that can find new teaching strategies so I can benefit the students, because everyone deserves a chance to learn and be something more in life, and make a difference.

Why I want to be a Special Education Teacher
When people ask you what you want to be you give a simple answer such as I like kids. But it is much more intense than that. I give the answer of I want to make a difference in the students life, I want to know that I impacted them some way shape or form. When I talk about making a difference I am not just saying well they passed a grade level, I want them to know that someone does care about the success they will progress over the years and try to be come independent of not only their learning but of their everyday life. One thing that every person comes across is depending on one person to help them out, so why not do it in a way that they are bettering themselves.
Alternative Teacher Licensure in Minnesota

After reading this article I do not think it should pass. If people who want to become educators can take a summer program and can be a teacher, it is just a quick fix for those schools in need of a teacher. That teacher is now going to learn how to teach for only a summer. So why should someone with a Bachelors in whatever subject and did not take any classes on teaching become a teacher? They have no experience besides the summer when college students have a 4 year degree and can help the students more.
